Have to wake up early today, although I promised them I'll be there in the office at 6am, I came in at 6.15am. Well I make up for that loss time with my ultimate driving skills. I managed to get to Kinabatangan just in time which is 8am. We did got lost though because of the misdirection given by Mdm Duisa. When we got there I was really surprised because actually I've been there before for the last year Chess Tournament.
Anyways when we got there, some of the representatives from our district got it wrong. They're supposed to be here in the second half, evening session. It's not really our fault to begin with because we already gave them all the information via email, letter and InfoBlast. Later on we found out those people didn't even attend the evening session. Which drives Mdm Duisa crazy.
I did the presentation and had a chat going on with the people from JPN and KPM. Well to be honest it was not in my favor at all. I had to settle the two most important questions that I have been wondering.

1st Question. The question of pushing for percentage or doing it according to procedure. Well the situation was like this. When I visited the school, the teacher in charge haven't done anything with the screening test. So I told the teacher to screen and focus on small number but surely get 12 construct passed. Which leads to a very high chance of getting percentage. If you have 5 students and you got one of them passed, you will get 20% which is better than 0%. But Jeya wanted the teacher to follow the procedure of getting the students to passed construct 1 and 2. Which will probably leads to 0% considering the lack of time of carrying out the test. The teacher went Jeya's way and I was right on the money. That school still got 0% for two consecutive tests. I thought I was right on this and ask the floor for their opinion. But everyone was against me and it kinda hurt my feelings. For the very first time as I stood there, I feel like quitting my job.
2nd Question. Can a teacher teach only LINUS module with a class who got 0%? Well 0% ultimately means that all the kids who didn't passed the screening test. In other words, those kids are LINUS. I thought this is how it suppose to be, you teach LINUS kids using LINUS Module and KSSR kids using KSSR Module. I knew the distinction between LINUS and KSSR but sometimes it feels like if a teacher want to push the percentage by any means necessary, legally, it would only be right if you attack the problem right on. Again I was brushed aside.
I made up my mind that day that I will not be asking these type of questions again. At first, I wanted to do something that will push the percentage but I guess... doing what everybody been doing seems enough.
