Day 77: Kota Kinabalu Here We Go!

I should've not went to the office just to punch my card for I have a meeting at JPN Kota Kinabalu tomorrow. I wanted to be early for the meeting on the next day so I decided to drive today. Well I kinda regretted that decision because I ended spending way too much money for such occasion. I have to pay for food, parking tickets and most importantly the hotel. Talk about RM143 for a single night at Cititel Express. I can get a cheaper one but I wanted to pamper myself once in a while. I don't want to get stuck in traffic to search for place to stay the night. It's already rush hour when I got there. Note to self, don't spend the night. Just wake up early and drive, that's cheaper.

Day 76: The New Teacher Development Program

Mr. Justin asked me to be at SMK Telupid 7am and I did just that. I was a bit skeptic that the teachers will come around that early. But I still did that, then I had to wait 1 hour for somebody to show up and I just wasted 1 hour of my life waiting... I handled the registrations and handouts for today. I was also responsible with the certificates, so I had to go out back in the office to print out the complete certificates. Then go back there again and I thought I'd be just sitting there and enjoy the presentation but it seems like I'm doing pretty much everything with the management. Well I'm just gonna remind myself that I will be offering these types of favor anymore. I didn't even received any credits for doing this. Not even a thank you.

In a side note, I relieved my stressful day by visiting that sweet office girl and hey 2 days ago I asked her out on a lunch. Time to follow up that conversation we had the other day.She was a really good listener. So the day wasn't really all that bad, all because of her. Maybe I should really ask her out for good.

Tomorrow is going to be Harvest Festival Holiday.

Day 75: Preparation for New Teacher Development Program

Mr. Justin asked for my help with the New Teacher Development Program. Well I thought it would be an easy one but turns out I was doing 60% of his job. Anyways, one of the thing that really hit the most was when I asked him for the identification card number of the speaker. He handed me the phone number of that speaker. I was like... whut... you can't even do that yourself? I lose all respect for him when he did that.

At the mean time, Jeya is going to take a one week holiday at Bali. She was a little stressed by the workloads so I offer my help to do her part. I was thinking that if you're going to a holiday you wouldn't want to be thinking about work. So I did that.

Day 74: Asking That Sweet Office Girl Out

I got nothing better to write. So I'm just gonna go on and put something really personal here. Well being a single guy and working in the office. I can't help but to think that I'll never get a girlfriend and I'm just like any other person. I can feel lonely too. So I finally asked this one girl out for lunch and I kinda knew she's into me. Well I got nothing to lose and everything to prove. I might be the only one who made to the internet and share to the world that people who work as FasiLINUS can get a soul mate as well.

Day 73: Cutting My Hair and Knitting

Well the day after that Kinabatangan visit, all of us planned to skip working day. We went home early but we make it so that Friday is our trip for going back to Telupid. We deserve the rest, we're totally exhausted yesterday. So we have like 3 days holiday.

Back on work, I went out to get haircut and bought some knitting kit to fix my bag. I don't want to write my boring tasks here so... Yeah that's like the most interesting things that I did today.

Day 72: Intervention Dialog Kinabatangan

Have to wake up early today, although I promised them I'll be there in the office at 6am, I came in at 6.15am. Well I make up for that loss time with my ultimate driving skills. I managed to get to Kinabatangan just in time which is 8am. We did got lost though because of the misdirection given by Mdm Duisa. When we got there I was really surprised because actually I've been there before for the last year Chess Tournament.

Anyways when we got there, some of the representatives from our district got it wrong. They're supposed to be here in the second half, evening session. It's not really our fault to begin with because we already gave them all the information via email, letter and InfoBlast. Later on we found out those people didn't even attend the evening session. Which drives Mdm Duisa crazy.

I did the presentation and had a chat going on with the people from JPN and KPM. Well to be honest it was not in my favor at all. I had to settle the two most important questions that I have been wondering.

1st Question. The question of pushing for percentage or doing it according to procedure. Well the situation was like this. When I visited the school, the teacher in charge haven't done anything with the screening test. So I told the teacher to screen and focus on small number but surely get 12 construct passed. Which leads to a very high chance of getting percentage. If you have 5 students and you got one of them passed, you will get 20% which is better than 0%. But Jeya wanted the teacher to follow the procedure of getting the students to passed construct 1 and 2. Which will probably leads to 0% considering the lack of time of carrying out the test. The teacher went Jeya's way and I was right on the money. That school still got 0% for two consecutive tests. I thought I was right on this and ask the floor for their opinion. But everyone was against me and it kinda hurt my feelings. For the very first time as I stood there, I feel like quitting my job.

2nd Question. Can a teacher teach only LINUS module with a class who got 0%? Well 0% ultimately means that all the kids who didn't passed the screening test. In other words, those kids are LINUS. I thought this is how it suppose to be, you teach LINUS kids using LINUS Module and KSSR kids using KSSR Module. I knew the distinction between LINUS and KSSR but sometimes it feels like if a teacher want to push the percentage by any means necessary, legally, it would only be right if you attack the problem right on. Again I was brushed aside.

I made up my mind that day that I will not be asking these type of questions again. At first, I wanted to do something that will push the percentage but I guess... doing what everybody been doing seems enough.
